Virtual Veterinary Specialists (VVS) is a revolutionary specialist to vet service. VVS enables vets in practice to work up their own cases, whilst providing specialist level care to their patients.

The VVS digital platform enables live interactions with our team of veterinary specialists, connecting directly to the practice, and offering real time support without the patient leaving their own practice.

This role would be suitable for a qualified veterinary nurse (RVN) with significant experience of veterinary practice. We are specifically looking for applicants with clinical veterinary nursing experience who feel they can bring something valuable to this role.

We are looking for a driven, self-motivated individual who can effectively prioritise tasks, and manage multiple projects or responsibilities at the same time. You should be comfortable working independently while also thriving in a team environment.

As referral coordinator you will be the main point of contact for our veterinary practices wanting to book their patients in for consultations. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and patient triage skills, with a good understanding of practice workflows and the importance of excellent client and patient care. An understanding of the referral process would be an advantage. Coordination of these appointments takes place via live-chat, telephone and email. You will liaise between the VVS partner practices and the VVS specialists to ensure that bookings are made quickly and efficiently. You will be the friendly, professional and approachable first port of call for our clients. The ability to remain highly efficient, organised, composed and friendly under pressure is essential.

In this role, using your extensive experience of veterinary practice, your focus will be on efficient coordination of the VVS service, working to continually develop and streamline processes. This includes the remote access/maintenance of VVS devices and equipment, such as Microsoft updates, ensuring a seamless virtual experience. You should also have strong interests in innovation and technology and be keen to use these to continually improve internal processes and the client experience. You need to be proficient with Microsoft Office.

VVS is a virtual company with a fully remote-working team. VVS’s unique platform enables the entire team to work closely and collaboratively thus avoiding the need for daily commuting. However, some planned travel and attendance at industry events, to visit partner practices or company off-site events, may be required.

At VVS we pride ourselves on providing an exceptional service to our client practices and for providing a stimulating, supportive work environment for our team. Salary range is £28,000 – £30,000 per annum (based on applicant’s experience and qualifications), with additional company benefits such as a discretionary annual performance related bonus scheme.

This position is full-time; Monday to Friday, with a shift pattern between 8am and 7pm, and includes a bank holiday and Saturday rota.  Saturday shifts are 9am-5pm, with the option of working every Saturday but currently a minimum of 2 in 4 Saturdays, choosing your own day off during the week, giving you the freedom to fit work around your lifestyle.
