Nuala obtained her ACVIM Diploma in Veterinary Cardiology in 2002 and spent the next 15 years working in both academia and private practice in UK, France and Switzerland, before co-founding Virtual Veterinary Specialists in (VVS) 2017. VVS was created to provide multidisciplinary specialist-level support to vets in first opinion practice, enabling them to remain integrally involved in the diagnosis and management of their cases by working alongside a specialist in real-time. VVS provides truly collaborative care for the patients and unique continuing professional development opportunities for their vets.
Nuala has been a regular speaker at both national and international conferences and CPD courses and has published widely in the field. Nuala is happy to advise on all areas of canine and feline heart disease and loves sharing her passion for cardiology and teaching echocardiography. Her areas of particular interest are canine dilated cardiomyopathy, heart failure and cardiac arrhythmias.
